Charity Trust Accounts

Question: Would the bank be able to cancel this if i told them to?

filled up a form that I have to pay this amount by this date, would i be in trouble if i didnt pay?

also would the bank call me and ask me if im going to allow them to take this money off my account?

if you had to ask its a charity for wildlife, but i just thought about it and i dont even know where they really use the money so, its just i dont trust them that much.
i dont know about any routing number, just my bsb number and account number, im not sure if its a bank draft coz i lost a copy of the fricken thing.

just basic info on what date i will pay etc.. birthdate.. but i had to sign it.

i dont even know how to reach them coz like i said i lost their contact,
i am legally fcked up lol

Answer: What sort of form did you fill out? Was it for an automatic bank draft where you gave them your routing number and account number, or was it just a pledge form? If it's just a pledge form, disregard it and do nothing.

If it was for an automatic draft, you need to contact the charity in question and try to cancel your obligation. You could also talk to your bank about refusing the payment, but you may face legal problems along the way.

Fundraising Ideas For Charity Events

Question: Fundraising ideas for a charity?

For a graduation requirement I have to do an extensive project. I want to raise money for a charity by selling baked goods and pastries because that is the career i will be going into. I want to have a benefit of some sort but selling pastries doesnt seem like enough for a charity event. Does anyone have any ideas? I will be using my schools kitchen. I cant use my kitchen from home because I would need a license which would be too much of a hastle.

Answer: Go to the school, start making your crap. Then when everyone leaves rob them blind.

Question: What is the best way to raise money, from companies, for one of the many charities that has walk-a-thons?

My wife is battling breast cancer & wants to do both the Susan Komen and the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer this year… Her goal is to raise $50,000 for each charity, this year!
So, I think some type of short letter requesting donations from big businesses with the 501(c)3 information and the corporate address for the charities will do the trick…
But I think I need some better direction with this big goal…

Answer: Tell her story to business. There are lots of food company's (like Coke cola) that donates to things like breast cancer. And do some fundraiserers, also ask friends and family to donate or help fundrais.

Question: Why do people give to animal charities when children are starving?

Do you really value an animals life over a humans?

Answer: The problems animals have are mostly because of human activity such as encroaching on their habitat and exploiting them. The least we can do is try to put things right.

Question: When a trust is dissolved how can I calculate how much the life income beneficiary and remainder benef get?

A $400,000 trust provides income for life for a woman now aged 77 and remainder to a charitable foundation. If the trust were to be dissolved now and the $400,000 divided between the 77 year old woman and the foundation, how can I calculate how much each should get.
