Question: Fundraising ideas for college students?
I am in charge of fundraising for a college ROTC boosters program. Last semester, we made several thousand dollars by working with the college athletics department, but that option is not available this semester. We are looking for some fundraising ideas that will earn us a decent amount of money (small things like bake sales really don’t work). Does anyone have any ideas we could use? There are about one hundred of us in the program, but not everyone will be actively participating.
Answer: Well at my university, alot of organizations and departments sell krispy kreme donut boxes of 10 or 12 for $5 and they sell quick. You can also do hand-made things that college students would pick up. ROTC gives out alot of paraphernalia (im also in ROTC)...So you could let the students play a game about university history facts and make them pay a dollar, and if they get it correct, give them a bottle, keychain, string bag, shirt to them! order cookies and stuff of that sort!

Successful Fundraising : A Complete Handbook for Volunteers and Professionals
Drawing on her experience in leading fundraising workshops for nonprofits, Flanagan has written a practical manual that will be of use to both novice and experienced fundraisers in all types of organizations. She provides an overview of all the possibilities–memberships, big gifts, planned giving, product sales and cause-related marketing, and foundation grants–and gives specific examples of strategies used by large and small organizations. Flanagan is also realistic about moving from dreaming about money to going out and getting it. She includes an annotated reading list and offers a good discussion of the resources provided by the Foundation Center and other organizations. In these lean times, nonprofits must know every revenue source. This book identifies those sources and offers ethical and profitable strategies for tapping them.

Question: College club fundraising ideas?
What are some really successful and profitable fund raising events or ideas for a college club?
I’ve just been given the position of VP of Programming, which entails coordinating such events as fund raisers. I would love to hear what you think! What would you, as a college student, stop and BUY for a few bucks on campus?
For example, would you pay 2 or 3 bucks for an In-N-Out burger?…
Answer: I already do pay 2 or 3 bucks for an In-N-Out burger.
There's a college nearby where I live and occassionally they do car washes at a corner lot of a pretty busy street. When it was warm and the girls were in shorts and bikini tops, and the guys were bare chested, they were doing a bang up business. The next weekend it was cold and it was sweats and sweatshirts and not much business.
