Question: How can i bring my filipino fiancee to india from uae?
my fiancee is working in uae. and she is going to cancel her employment visa. how can i bring her to india? which kind of visa will be best, tourist or employment? wat is the maximum duration of indian tourist visa? i have a registered charitable trust (doing nothing!), can i bring her by giving an employment visa? will they look into the history of the organisation, that is giving the employment? is there any fiance/e visa? [i asked the same question in immigration section. i didnt get helpful answers]
Answer: I am not too sure they will allow her to get another visa while she is on a working visa. What she can do is return to the country that she was born in then you can apply for a fiance visa for her. I think India has that option available too. Just go on the immigrations website and looks under "alien relative status" for what she can do.

Question: Do you expect the Washington, DC archdiocese to cut social services due to same-sex marriage?
Previously, the archdiocese of the District of Columbia issued a statement that, should a same-sex marriage statute be allowed to be put to a vote, the Catholic church would pull its funding of charity organizations in the area.
Today, the District council passed the statute with a majority vote; the only remaining step is a signature from the mayor, who has already stated that he will sign the bill.
Do you expect the Catholic church to follow through with their threat? If they do, would you consider it appropriate that the church discontinue charity work in the area because same-sex marriage will be allowed, even though they will not be required to perform same-sex marriages?

Answer: It was the organization Catholic Charities which was threatening to stop their programs in that area if the bill passed. Almost immediately, they softened their stance to say that they were afraid that they would no longer be able to help as they had in the past if the bill passed. I have a feeling that this was due to people (such as myself) saying that they would no longer donate to the organization.
If Catholic Charities feels that their feelings against homosexuality are going to get in the way of their helping the homeless, then I am fully prepared to support whatever organization steps in to take their place.
Catholic Charities has lost my money for good, and I am willing to bet that I am not the only one.

Question: Funding for foreign study?
My college is taking a group of students abroad to China this upcoming summer for study, and I really, really want to go! Problem is, I work three jobs as it is to make ends meet to pay for this semester and our house, other bills, etc. I can put aside a little money here and there and ask the ‘rents to help out some, but I am sure to come up short still. We might do some fundraising… does anyone have any ideas for that? Or know of any scholarship opportunities for students going abroad with their school? (most scholarships that I’ve found are only for specific programs). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Answer: do a malley's chocolate bar sale....everyone loves them and they are only a dollar and cost about 50 cents when bought in large quantities for fundraising....
