Question: Where do i find info on how to get corps. to donate items, not money?
I’m looking for corporate donations of products (hygiene products – soap, toothpaste,shampoo etc.). We are a 501c3 non-profit (tiny one) and i get donations from individuals to hand out to the homeless every Sunday…but am looking for how to contact big companies to donate.
We feed about 200 people on Sundays and distribute clothes and hygiene kits – but hygienic items are the hardest to come by, most expensive and first to go…
any ideas??

Answer: Write letters to some of the organisations! Just ask them, write it all down in a clearly written letter, ask them to give a donation.
Companies are required to meet a certain level of corporate social responsibility, if they're a decent enough company, they will step up to the plate and help out. Not everyone may respond, but the more you contact, the more chance of someone saying yes.
